ČSA is the fifth oldest airline in the world and now operates as Czech Airlines.

In October it will go into private hands and end its flight operations.

Czechoslovakia was a landlocked state in central Europe created in 1918.

In 1989 it split into two sovereign states, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
