Luggage Labels
Luggage labels were an ideal form of advertising. They were produced mainly by hotels, both grand and modest, and stuck on to the hard surfaces of trunks and suitcases by the porters as they dealt with their guests’ luggage. They were also picked up as souvenirs and this is why many survive today in their original condition. After the 1960’s, their use declined - package holidays, budget airlines and soft luggage made them obsolete. These labels are from the 1950's and 1960's.
