1982 World Cup Poster - Barcelona

Fourteen sites were chosen for the 1982 Spanish World Cup and fifteen posters were produced to promote the tournament. 

One of the most famous Spanish artists of his generation, Antoni Tápies was born in Barcelona and produced this beautiful poster when his country hosted the FIFA World Cup.

This poster was printed by the Société de production des affiches Maeght, a printing and publishing house behind some of the most iconic fine art prints and posters of the 20th century.
