BOAC Poster - The Orient

Great colours in this BOAC silk screen travel poster promoting flights to the Far East direct from San Francisco or New York via Honolulu.

The British Overseas Airways Corporation started service in 1940 after the UK airline industry was nationalised. After the war BOAC was split up to include two more state airlines, BEA (British European Airways) and BSAA (British South American Airways).
