Alitalia Poster - Brazil
Fantastic collage from a series produced for Alitalia by the printer, Amilcare Pizzi, showing Rio de Janeiro, Brazil's capital from 1763 until it was moved to Brasília in 1960. The poster shows Sugarloaf mountain with the beach in the foreground.
Alitalia was established in 1946 as Aerolinee Italiane Internazionali. In 1957 it merged with another Italian airline and became Alitalia.
Amilcare Pizzi S.p.A. printed a series of newspaper collage posters for Alitalia during the 1960's.
