This is one of many posters produced for the XXII Olympiad held in Moscow. This was the first games to be held in a communist state. The US boycotted the event, which was held in July and August 1980. The posters promoted peace and friendship and the games were attended by 80 nations.
Loosely translated, the poster says 'Sport promotes peace and friendship among peoples'.
