Brighton is a city on the south coast of England. The town came to prominence in the the early 19th century when George IV built his exotic pleasure palace there. The Pavilion, designed by John Nash, mixes Regency grandeur with the styles of India and China, both very fashionable during this period. This poster highlights many of the pursuits favoured by the rich and fashionable who frequented Brighton during this time.

Brighton Pavilion is now a museum and open to the public.
