Swissair was considered one of Europe's more exclusive airlines and the company made every effort to reflect this in their public image.

From 1971 to 1996 Georg Gerster, pioneer of aerial photography, was charged with providing some of the most memorable and beautiful images for their posters. Since the demise of the airline in 2002, these posters have become highly collectable.
