This poster for Pan American Airlines shows a graphic representation of Moscow's Red Square with Saint Basil's Cathedral and the Spasskaya Tower. The square was originally the city's main marketplace and site of public ceremonies.
Pan American Airlines, commonly known as Pan Am, was established in 1927 and flew until 1991. The airline was credited for many innovations and was the flagship carrier of the United States. Identified by its blue globe logo and the word 'clipper' in its aircraft names, the airline was a cultural icon of the 20th century.
