Luggage Label - Luxor

This vintage luggage label for the Louxor Winter Palace Hotel in Egypt would have been given away to guests as a souvenir or to attach to a suitcase.

This famous hotel opened in 1907. The Egyptologist Howard Carter, who in 1922 discovered the intact tomb of Tutankhamun, used the hotel's noticeboard to deliver occasional news and information on the discovery.
