United Air Lines Great Lakes
Good condition, some creasing to lower edge and small stain to left of lighthouse
Stan Galli, who worked as a commercial illustrator during the 50s and 60s, was commissioned to produce a number of posters for United Air Lines. This poster features one of the lighthouses of the Great Lakes, probably on Lake Michigan, as United Air Lines headquarters were in Chicago. Aviation pioneer William Boeing set up what was to become United Air Lines in 1916. It can now claim to be one of the oldest and largest carriers in the world.
